These brightly colored glass tiles can be purchased in solid color packs of 24 tiles and in 1/6 lb. or one lb. bags.
Mosaic Mercantile tiles are cast from colored vitreous glass in the centuries old tradition of master Italian glass makers. These tiles can be used in infinite combinations on nearly any reasonably smooth surface. They are shiny smooth on the front and textured on the back for better adhesive grip. The edges are miter beveled for clean right angle corners. The tiles are waterproof, useable indoors or outdoors, and are easily cut with nippers or broken with a hammer.
Each mini tile measures 10 mm square (3/8 in. x 3/8 in. x 1/8 in.). There are approximately 600 tiles to the pound. 1 lb. of tile covers approximately 120 square inches. The exact amount depends upon the width of your grout line.
Each of the larger tiles measures 20 mm square (3/4 in. x 3/4 in. x 1/8 in.). There are approximately 140 tiles per pound. 1 lb. of tile covers approximately 90 square inches. The exact amount depends upon the width of your grout line.
